How It Works (The Science) FAQ
What is infrared light?
Infrared (IR) light is part of the sunlight spectrum that is invisible to the human eye. The electromagnetic waves in the range between visible light and microwaves are called infrared waves. Infrared is further subdivided into the ranges of near infrared, mid infrared and far infrared.
Infrared light is used in industrial, scientific and medical applications.
What is far infrared?
Far infrared (FIR) are waves in a particular region of the infrared spectrum, invisible to the human eye and characterised by low energy and low penetration without any collateral damage to biological tissues.
What are the characteristics of far infrared waves?
Far infrared waves are thermal. We experience this type of infrared radiation every day in the form of heat.
Unlike ordinary heat, far infrared waves interact with the human body via a strong interaction with water molecules which represent, on average, 70% of human body mass.
What do far infrared waves do?
Far infrared waves are widely recognized for having positive effects on the body and for use in medical applications. Far infrared is a medically proven vasodilator, which means it promotes blood circulation, increases tissue oxygen levels, enhances cell vitality and regulates body temperature.
How can FIR influence the human body's functions?
Far infrared waves interact with the human body via their strong interaction with water molecules, which represent, on average, 70% of human body mass. Far infrared waves cause the body’s water molecules to resonate, thereby promoting various bioprocesses. This process also dilates the capillaries stimulating microcirculation.
What is microcirculation?
Microcirculation is the circulation of the blood in the smallest blood vessels. Far infrared waves improve the body microcirculation, boosting the flow of blood to tissues throughout the body thereby, delivering vital nutrients, removing toxins and increasing oxygen levels.
What is far infrared fibre?
Far infrared fibre (or FIR fibre) is an innovative fibre that 'emits' far infrared rays causing a uniquely beneficial interaction with the human body.
How does it work?
The far infrared fibre absorbs the infrared radiation emitted by the human body and re-emits the absorbed radiation as far infrared (FIR) waves, which interact with the human body, stimulating the body and its natural healing processes.
What is the FIR wavelength of the technology used in ABSOLUTE360 products?
The far infrared wavelength that falls between 4 to 14 microns is commonly called bio-infrared or biogenetic rays. This wavelength, can easily be absorbed by the body and is the one used in all ABSOLUTE360 products.
How do ABSOLUTE360 products relate to other technologies such as far infrared saunas or lamps?
Far infrared saunas, lamps and far infrared clothing are complementary products. Far infrared saunas or lamps are designed to give people a short period of intensive far infrared therapy. ABSOLUTE360 products are designed to give people an extended and constant exposure to far infrared waves. This allows people to benefit from far infrared radiation anytime, anywhere.
